Attention Indiana University-Bloomington area students

I got a call today from the mother of a Indiana University-Bloomington student who was raped recently. She’s trying to spread the word about what happened to her daughter and the University’s inadequate and irresponsible response. If you’re an IU student, I encourage you to get in touch with her. Parents and students together can accomplish more than either alone. Here’s her flyer.

Does it get any worse than this?

So bad. So very very bad. Female airman charged after refusing to testify in her own rape case

Let’s get this straight—who allegedly committed a crime here? The woman raped by three people, or the alleged rapists? Apparently, the air force thinks it’s the rape victim, and is having the alleged rapists testify against her.

Do you ever feel like you’re living in bizarro world?

I’d like to hear from students who’ve had any experience of pressing charges (either criminally or through a campus judicial system) and been charged themselves. Just so I can get even angrier than I already am.
