Ms. Crip Chick has a really great and thorough commentary and rundown of media on activism at Oakland University pushing for the school to let Micah Fialka-Feldblum live in the dorms. Micah has a cognitive disability, and is attending Oakland U through a program that allows students with cognitive disabilities to participate in classes and activities through the school. Micah wants to live in the dorms for a full college experience, but the college is denying him access, saying that he can’t live in the dorms because he isn’t in a degree-granting program.
